After initial maturation, the bourbon is transferred to a second barrel that has been deeply toasted and lightly charred, drawing out additional soft, sweet oak notes. The nose reveals rich aromas of dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak, while the palate is full-bodied with flavours of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spice. A long, creamy finish with lingering hints of honeyed apple completes this indulgent expression.
