Crushed ice and a quality bourbon or whiskey is key! Add in a hot summers day & it’s something to be celebrated.

You will need:

  • 65ml quality bourbon/whiskey
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 2-3tsp simple syrup
  • Ice (cubes to shake, crushed to serve)
  • Mint to garnish

To make:

  • Shake the bourbon or whiskey, mint leaves and sugar syrup with ice
  • Strain into a highball glass or julep tin filled with crushed ice
  • Churn gently with a long-handled spoon and top with more crushed ice
  • Garnish and serve.
